Low Abdominal and Pelvic Pain

Many women will experience low abdominal pains in early pregnancy, much like a cramping type pain. This is normal and is due to the rapid rate at which the uterus is growing.

Although it is normal to experience some abdominal discomfort, if the pain is bothering you, it is safe to take 2 panadol tablets.

You should notify Dr Bonazzi if any of the following occur:

  • The pain is increasing in severity and is not relieved by panadol and/or rest
  • You have any vaginal bleeding in addition to the pain
  • The pain is localized to one side of the abdomen only.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding abdominal pain feel free to call the rooms on (03) 9419 5601 to discuss with Dr Bonazzi or Lauren (Midwife).
